Sustainability Stands

The sustainability stand is a recurring campaign organized by Students@NHB.

Participatory activities are offered at various events on campus. True to the motto "We have to talk in order to make a difference", the Students@NHB team has actively sought discussions with members of Ruhr University on several occasions since 2022.

Sustainability at Ruhr University is multifaceted

From sharing and cloth diapers to nutrition, planting on campus, accessibility, a bicycle-friendly infrastructure, renewable energies, education and digitalization - the sustainability topics mentioned are just as diverse as the people at Ruhr University.

Sustainability moves many people at Ruhr University

Whether employees, teaching staff or students - there was lively participation from all areas on many different topics with suggestions and concrete ideas.

In particular, the topics were

Roof and façade greening and green spaces/planting
Bicycle-friendly infrastructure
Reduction of waste and packaging through more efficient waste separation. Reusable solutions and better recycling
Digitalization
Water dispensers

Ruhr University has great potential for sustainability

The aforementioned topics show that Ruhr University has great potential for sustainability. The aim should be to exploit this potential by joining forces - let's make our university sustainable!
