Event programme

Where can I find the information stands? What workshops are there? When is the next swap party?

We have another colorful program of events lined up for the 2025 winter semester. You can find an overview of the program here, along with details of the individual events below. Anyone interested is welcome to join us!

In addition to our regular events, we have three weeks full of hands-on activities in December. These are not individual events, but rather activities that take place throughout the week during the Sustainability Office's opening hours. This means you have several days a week to drop by and get creative, because in the first three weeks of December we are offering ceramic painting, in the second week a workshop on plant dyes, and shortly before Christmas in the third week, clipboard upcycling. So there should be something for everyone.

Otherwise, we look forward to your participation in our events, from new ideas such as the climate puzzle workshop to already successful events such as Quiz Night.

The sustainability office

Many of our events will take place at our sustainability office this semester. In addition to our exciting events, the space is also available for your own purposes. We will open the sustainability office for you at least once a week so that you can use the swap corner, refill your water bottles, or simply hang out. You can find the opening hours on our Instagram account, our website, or the notices at the sustainability office

When? November 3, starting at 4 p.m.

Where? At the Sustainability Office at Nordforum

Registration? Eveeno

Have you always wanted to learn more about climate change and the connections between humans and the environment? We have the perfect workshop for you!

The Climate Puzzle is an interactive workshop based on the findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). In small groups, participants put together cards with scientific facts like puzzle pieces, reconstructing the climate system step by step. In doing so, they discover the causes and consequences of climate change. This playful, participatory method makes complex knowledge easy to understand. At the same time, the puzzle encourages discussion and stimulates thought about possible courses of action. The goal is to turn knowledge into action—working together for a sustainable future.

Participation is free of charge, of course.

This workshop will be held in german.

Discover the truth behind greenwashing in “The Green Lie”!

“The Green Lie” is a fascinating documentary film by director Werner Boote that exposes the topic of greenwashing. The film shows examples of how corporations build a green image by promoting palm oil and electric cars, while the reality is often quite different.

PR strategies of corporate giants such as BP, RWE, and Unilever are linked to personal stories from places affected by environmental disasters and monocultures. The film offers a deep insight into the mechanisms of greenwashing and encourages reflection.

Come and see how “The Green Lie” reveals the facets of greenwashing and inspires you to rethink your views. We look forward to seeing you there!

This film screening is a collaboration with Studienkreis Film Bochum and will be shown in English with German subtitles.
